These programs can be used for a wide variety of activities, but most applications of spreadsheets focus on generating numeric information from other numeric information. MS Excel is an example of a spreadsheet program.
MS Excel comes in a variety of versions. Over the years the program has been updated, making it more powerful and easier to use. These course notes are based on MS Excel 2010.
